About Our Name
Our clinic name came about for several reasons. In China, the number 8 is considered very lucky. The pronunciation sounds similar to prosperity or wealth. In the 2008 Olympics, the Chinese government even set the opening ceremony for 8-8-2008 at 8:08:08pm Beijing time. When Rob was an intern at the Pacific College clinic, he liked to use room number 8. One of his patients pointed out that the number 8 sideways is the symbol for infinity or in health, longevity. Choosing a name for our clinic just seemed obvious!
Therapeutic Approach
Rob strives to unify the mind, body, and spirit through the tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He strongly believes in educating his patients so that they can learn to live a balanced, healthy life.
Rob has practiced Qi gong and traditional Chinese martial arts for many years. He utilizes these skills as part of his therapeutic approach.
Rob grew up in a family of medical doctors. While he believes both eastern and western philosophies are powerful on their own, he strongly believes that an integrative approach is the most effective. Using all of your resources can often eliminate the need for more invasive action.
